Yes the 912 will handle it just fine. I took the front tines off a hand tiller and put them on a 36"tiller so it is now 43" wide. The 710-6speed doesn't even know that it is back there with the motor just above idle. Full disclaimer it has 12" wide Goodyear Ag tires (really measure like 14") with 50 lb wheel weights and we rip the garden open with the cultivator to help it dry faster. PM me for all the lessons we learned experimenting with it.

My 710H with a good strong 10hp Kohler cannot handle the tiller with the extension kit. I does fine until the soil really gets ground up and digging deep, the soil is medium.

My 917 has no problems with the extensions on. A 12hp would be close, depending on how the soil density.

At Max depth the tiller stops now, I always figured that it was belt slip.

The tine extensions are cool as heck, but if you have rock, its gonna beat the snot out of the center bearings! If no rocks, run er hard!

Pics please! I just got a couple of parts that I believe are the extensions for the tines, but not sure.
