Need help converting 65 landlord engine

Recommended Posts

sideburns

I picked up a 16hp Briggs to replace my 10hp Briggs on my '65 Landlord. Question: The 16hp has a built-in starter and no points. How do I convert from a 10hp engine to the 16hp no points engine? I'm guessing I don't need the starter generator but not sure how to hook up wiring. Any help would be much appreciated.

Easiest way is to use starter generator

The wiring would remain pretty much the same

But not the way I would do my own

If you look at a wiring diagram from a 7116

It would work for you
