Question on BGB Level

Hello;

I have a street L halfway up on my existing BGB. To check this you have to dismantle the tractor as it now stands.

So, i there a modification to make it easier to check , or what?

You should be able to get the plug out of the street elle without dismantling anything.

Then I usually take the vent plug out of the top, fill from there till it comes out the elle

An 8 point socket & extension should do the trick & what Dan says.

Take a long 1/2 inch extension put the ratchet end on the square plug and use an adjustable wrench on the socket end

On top in the center of the BGB there is a red plastic vent plug.

I am not having luck in finding the vent plug you mention. About how big is it?

About 1/2" wide with a square head on it. Looks like a 1/8" pipe plug only red or orange in color. At least on my 1966 Landlord 101.

What model tractor are you talking about?

Here's a previous post. Scroll down to the 3rd picture. That is a vent plug on the top side of the bgb. Maybe yours is located under the cover just forward of the seat.
