First, I want to get me facts straight, there was an early and a later model pump correct ? The early had a remote filter between the frame plates, and the later had the filter right on the side of the pump? This pump, without a filter, has these 2 bolt heads sticking out next to the gear so this early pump would not bolt up to a later transmission as there are no holes in the transmission case for these bolt head to set into.

The later pump does not have these bolts, so it will bolt to an early transmission. In doing this, I now have a transmission with 2 filters. Next question would be, can I run it with both filters, and if not, which should I remove ?, IE which system is better ? If I want to go with the remote filter only, can I take the block off plate off this pump, and put it on the other pump in place of the filter ?? Or should I just remove the remote filter system ???

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
