Did your 301 Kohler come out of an A-C/Simplicity Tractor?

id="quote">Anyway, if your donor engine has a 12V start/charging system, you'd need a starter relay and maybe a Bosch relay. The command has a grounded self energized mag and the "K" probably has a 12V points/ coil system. The "K" may have a split circuit 12V5A DC and 12VAC charge system or a 15Amp 12V regulated system like your Command has now., so you might have to rewire head light circuit for AC. The Command starter is clutching type with its built in relay and "K" starter is an inertia with a remote relay. There should be a spot in the ignition switch where you power your coil. Not too bad.
