macallis180 296 Posted March 22, 2016 Getting TLC done on my new B-110, HOWEVER, have another question: Is the axle pivot bolt a press in fit, or just a bolt thru a hole in the front axle and frame? Will need to address this next, as there is quite a bit of forward and back(depending on which way the steering wheel is turned) movement of the front axle when turning the steering wheel. Thankfully, it seems the steering box is quite tight yet.
B112_son 14 Posted March 22, 2016 Pretty sure it's just a through hole. Last one I had that had play just needed the nut tightened up on the back.
GrincheyOne 52 Posted March 22, 2016 The front axle beam has a 3/4" hole which accepts a bushing which takes it down to 1/2". A 1/2" bolt goes thru this bushing and through the front support block and is fastened with a nut. the hole in the support block can develop wear and become "egg-shaped". The next point of wear is the 3/4" shaft at te end of the "wishbone",which goes thru a 3/4" hole in a support angle (this hole is very sussptable to wear. None of these areas are fitted wth zerks, but are indicated to be oiled (on a regular basis) in the owners manual.
