L112 Loader Struggles to Lift Question

So a while back I was cleaning out the burn pit. Wet ash and debris and the loader struggled to raise with a full bucket.

I suspect a loose belt or leaking cylinder? Could there be anything else I missed checking?

fluid level is fine. Raises and lowers fine without load.

I am going to move same horse manure this afternoon to see if a tighter belt spring helps keep the belt from slipping.

Thanks

Maybe just too heavy? You said the ash was wet, so there was probably a lot less air space in it, making a full bucket of the ash much heavier than the buckets of manure you usually lift. That's just a guess, of course.

My firsr guess would be belt slip if fluid is up and not foaming. Is the breather plugged? Could very well be the pump needs attention. Cessna still offered kits for these as recently as 2 years back.

I always appreciate the feedback from the members of this group.

After further review the belt appears to be slipping just a little. I added a helper spring to the tensioner and didn't have anymore issues with the horse manure.

So on the "to do" list:

A. New Belt

B. New Spring

C. Clean inline filter

Thanks everyone.

I would think horse manure would be heavier than wet ashes. Looks like it is working good.Tom

id="quote">Possibly. Though I personally never attribute much weight to horse sh&%. :DSeriously, though, as I recall the lift capacity is only about 300lbs. And it really doesn't take all that much to get more than 300lbs of material in that bucket, as big as it is.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
