Vanguard Repower and Options

Recommended Posts

I have two tractors that need engines; an AC312 with a K341 and a 7012H with a K301. I have a third tractor a 7010 with an old tired K241. I'm going to repower one of these. I can get a M12 that is electric/recoil start or a Vanguard as a repower kit from SEW. The Vanguard is an 18HP, does the Vanguard being a twin with a shorter stroke leave it wanting in the power department compared to the single cylinder long stroke engines?

what are your thoughts, opinions and advice on these options? The 7010 is a current worker and the other two have not been ran for 3~4 years. As always, I appreciate and respect your views.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
