Odd Mod - Hood

Noticed this while surfing eBay:

Carb looks like a 3 bolt carb off of a 19D and a late model paper air filter.

That is a 7010 Landlord, not a 16hp tractor, Its no bigger than a 24 cube engine.

It looks like a 3310 or 3314 .I have both with 3314 having a 32 ci 14hp engine stock from factory . The 3310 was a 23 ci engine 10hp. Why in the world would you put an older carb and hack the hood

While it looks very similar in style to the 3300 Series it is not 3300 or 3400 (unless lots of parts were swapped). The 3300 Did not have the cone clutch PTO and both the 3300 and 3400 did not have an ammeter on the dash. This tractor has both the cone clutch and the ammeter and it has a perforated grille screen instead of a mesh grille screen as was used on the 3300 and 3400. The configuration of the tinwork on the cylinder head ID's the engine as being 10hp or smaller.

It so cobbled up its hard to tell what it really is. I have another 3310 with a 1996 Sunstrand 15 rear end from the bevel gear box back with an operating cone clutch . It can be done

My ZZs have a similar intake, with an oil bath filter resembling that one. The carbs are also 3 bolt, and will work on a 19, or the 19 carb will work on a ZZ. When I first got my landlord out of the ditch, I got it because I needed the carb for a ZZ. Still need a carb for a ZZ, the tractor is too good a tool!
