Bent screwdriver trick for my Allis Chalmers b110

I am wondering if this is the correct fix for my new old b110.

I watch the u tube video but my trans looks a bit different no spying on the outside as shown on the video. And mine is stuck in second shifter knob will not move forward ar all.

I can't really see the forks inside so I am not sure what I am doing when I stick the screwdriver inside.

The tractor has been sitting outside for some time.yesterday when I picked it up the guy was able to get it into neutral ,once in the van I put it into second to keep it from rolling. Got it out of the van by pulling the belt off . Not sure what to do.

Thanks Gary

Update

I opened up the trans yesterday and found that the fork was hard to move into neutral even with the trans open.sprayed some wd40 and seemed to move much better. Put the trans back together and all seeded ok.

Today same thing got stuck in second gear . My thinking is the ball and spring iate messed up!

Any thoughts

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
