msasso 0 Posted April 28, 2016 started messing with the b112 and I am getting no spark. I hooked the negative to the battery turn the key to on and just touch the positive to the solenoid to turn it over. Turning the key did not turn it over so took a short cut. I cleaned the points which looked to be clean and in great shape. tried two plugs. Engine is turning nicely with good compression but no spark. could one of you smart engine guys give me a checklist to run through. I'd like to avoid pulling the engine just yet.(i will have to later anyway as there is a mouse nest in there) Thanks in advance
msasso 0 Posted April 28, 2016 sorry to keep answering my own questions. remembered that I had one of those megafires and thought "what the hell". Hooked it up got a strong spark and rode the tractor around. Drives pretty good. started smelling burning mouse nest so shut it down. But I am going to order a few more of those megafires off of ebay. saves a lot of time when you are trying to fire up a new tractor for the first time.
