Wheel bearing seal

Does anyone know where to get or have a part # for the seals for the old style narrow 8" rims? The rims I got came off a big10 and am using them on my Squire project.

Originally the FDT inner wheel bearings had the seal molded in place. When the RBT's came along they began using the separate seal which works with all large frame wheels. Current part # 2170168SM, old # 170168. Better breakout the checkbook because these things are now $17 each:O They ran around $5 when before the Briggs takeover, then they went up some then back down to like $3.00 and at that time I bought some for stock. Then late last year they jumped them back up, way up. You might be cheaper to buy the Timken's with the seal built-in but they are more difficult to clean and repack from a maintenance standpoint.

Seems like you could bring the seal to a supply house and match it up? I wouldn't think that its unique to the wheel...More to the bearing. The bearing is a standard (though not super common) trailer wheel bearing.

Last seals I bought from partstree.com, came in Simplicity bag, a lot cheaper. It was about a year ago, I think closer to $6 each. That bearing with seal attached is still used on nose wheel on smaller aircraft $$.
