SmilinSam 4,030 Posted May 9, 2016 http://www.auctionzip.com/Listings/2705803.htmlHeres the photo gallery link...http://www.auctionzip.com/cgi-bin/photopanel.cgi?listingid=2705803&category=0&zip=&kwd=This all belonged to a guy who used to stop by my place for parts and things over the years till he passed away last year. I believe he also bought some tractors from my boys too, one of which I guess the family is keeping.Take a look at the link above and look at the photos link there on the listing page. My boy took pictures with his phone last weekend when he went over there to see what was out. The pictures on the website are only a small sampling. He said that the stuff in this auction was what is outside of the buildings that they are dragging out of the way to get inside the buildings:OIf you live near west central illinois, ya might want to consider attending this sale at the end of this month.WoW!!!!! B-16_IC 1,029 Posted May 29, 2016 I was there, I skipped the swap meet in Mt Pleasant this year. I could not get ready for it in time. I was happily limited to the GMC, no trailer as usual. I need to be limited. Chris, the HB was pretty rough but an excellent start for a restoration, quite complete. I am not good at keeping track of prices like you, but I know it was one of the highest of the yellow ones. Several of the B-12 and 10 were tempting but I was holding out for a couple others that I didn't even get to bid on. Mostly quite cheap for sure. Small frames especially, that's what I bought. Three of them fit nicely in a full size bed! I will post some pictures later from my laptop.
B-16_IC 1,029 Posted May 29, 2016 The last picture is my load ready to go home. Sorry I didn't take better photos, I forgot to do it until it was just about to start.B)
Chris727 2,015 Posted May 29, 2016 Looks like a vast selection. Pretty good looking Big Ten with a nelson muffler, nice looking 917 too. Would have liked them. Looks like you've got possibly a 738, 707 or 717, and a late style Homesteader 8. I probably don't even want to know how cheap the large frames went.
SmilinSam 4,030 Posted May 29, 2016 At least one club member got some satisfaction:D I didnt go...dont need anymore "stuff" here:O
B-16_IC 1,029 Posted May 30, 2016 Sam, I don't really need anymore either but I couldn't resist. I will have to do some culling now for sure. I was interested in the 917 but was more than I was willing to pay for a mystery with manual lift. Around 300 I think, I have never paid that much. One Big ten brought nearly 400 I think, it was pretty good. Chris, good eye as usual. 707, 738, both with decks, and Homesteader with tiller. I had one before and really liked it so now I have one again.
Chris727 2,015 Posted May 30, 2016 Thanks Rich. I don't feel so bad now, $300 is a lot for a mystery tractor.
