Can't help you with pics of an AC 3/400 series tractors since I've never owned one. But here are some parts schematics of the areas in question:

It looks like the driveshaft connects with the standard Kohler adapter (part #18) and flex disk with special washers (typical early Simplicity setup).And it also looks like the front electric PTO mounts similarly to my Homelite T-12 front PTO shown in this pic:

The Homelite has a Briggs engine with 1" shaft.

thanks for that info.just what I was looking for.

am trying to install a OH160 Tecumseh. not sure

I will be able to accomplish this.do not have the

original kohler. bought tractor minus engine.
