Amana Iowa tractor show pics

My wife and I spent a good part of the day at the show in the Amana Colonies, Iowa, which is an area that was settled by the amish and still is a large tourist attraction. This is an all Allis Chalmers show, although there were three Minneapolis Moline tractors there. The show had both farm tractors and garden tractors. Here are some pics:

My favorites were the 2210 with the Johnson loader, and the scamper, and then the mini bike. Of course I can never resist the nicest farm tractor ever built, the Allis D21. There were two of them there, one restored, one original, both beautiful. And of course there was my favorite smaller farm tractor, the Allis CA, such a nice tractor! The twin Allis diesel 920's were nice also. Also, we met Den and Phyllis from Illinois. Den is a regular visitor to the site and I connected with him and bought a sub frame for the 3212V loader project I want to make down the road. Very nice folks, enjoyed the time with them. Also met some folks from around Kansas City. The lady and her kids were there for the first time without her husband, who just passed away a few months ago. Spent some time talking with her, and again such nice people and a great time.Hope you all enjoy the pictures!Steve

Thank you for the nice pics. I had to work or I might have made the trip. Looks like my buddy Dave made it to the show. There was an 8hp Scamper like that on CL over the winter for around $100 up near Dubuque. Could be it.

Guilty as charged Chris! It was a great show, large turnout and just plain a good time.I took 5 pieces of L/G to show this time. the scamper is a repeat I believe as the guy who has it had it there last year as well.It is the more rare orange one and he had somebody tell him it must have been repainted over the green but I took some literature last year to show him and he could then set them straight.I thought that other one might be there as well, I missed it by minutes last winter. Maby next year we can get a better handle on club members attending and meet up as I apparently missed an opportunity to meet some.

It was a good show indeed. Me, Dad, and my two year old Will spent most of the day there. Sold several parts and did a lot of visiting with friends old and new. It was nice to see some MM tractors there too, hopefully more will show up in the future there's plenty of room. That show is my favorite of any I've been to, nice family atmosphere, good people, and lots of shade!

Nice pics. That looks like a nice place for a show. Good variety of stuff, some fairly rare things. Tim

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
