bigdog46 2 Posted June 26, 2016 Any ideas how to tighten up the throttle cable on my 7117 ? I have tightened the nut on the throttle lever as tight as I can but the cable is still too loose and the engine rpm will not stay where I set the throttle while I am mowing. The rpm lowers and I constantly have to raise the lever to keep rpms up. Thanks
720nut 4,225 Posted June 26, 2016 Only thing I can think of would be to shim it so as to tighten it,or purchase new. Would be better if posted under Talkin Tractors Just my .
rokon2813 272 Posted June 27, 2016 Is the plastic washer behind the nut worn out or missing?
BLT 718 Posted June 27, 2016 Go to parts book page 62. Items 8, 9 and 19 are your friction pieces and they do where out. http://bsintek.basco.com/BriggsDocumentDisplay/heCBEN8.wJ1rE7CNj5kbp796Dq.pdf
