Mike 0 Posted June 27, 2016 I sold a 916h to my neighbor last year ran sweet till now. good spark, good fuel. won't run even if you put gas in the cylinder, just get a backfire. I'm guessing a valve issue or crank timing, can you sheer a key on kohlers? Neighbor told me when it quit, it started sputtering and lost about 1/2 power then died. In the past if that happened I cleaned the points and that fixed it. This also happened after running fuel dry when hot. Thanks for any insights
Mike 0 Posted June 28, 2016 found the problem, what would cause this?
Gary 101 Posted June 28, 2016 Looks like a small nut/screw went through the carb/intake manifold and into the cylinder. (at least from what I can see)
maxwood 596 Posted June 28, 2016 Maybe a screw from carburetor throttle or choke shaft?? I have seen that before. Thanks, Ken in Mi
Mike 0 Posted June 28, 2016 Amazing that it didn't hurt the cylinder at all, standard piston so the motor has hope.
