Kohler k341 needs help

Ok so thi stractor I sold my Neighbor lost compression due to a burnt piston caused by overheating.

Piston is stamped standard, the question is, is it possible to replace the standard piston and rings without doing a total rebuild.Cylinder is not damaged. I've never rebuilt one of these before.

The standard bore for a K341 is 3.7505/3.7495.

As long as the bore is no more than 3.753, and the max out of round is less than .003 and taper less than .002. You are good to go with new standard rings.
