PAR36/4411 LED?

Recommended Posts

I have a set of 9W round LED's on a bracket sitting on top of the hood right now for snowblowing, and I love how bright they are. The other thread looking for LED bulbs for a 712H got me thinking:

Are there any direct LED replacements for the 4411/PAR36 headlights on the large frame tractors. There are:

There are even some Phillips brand ones for under $12, and it looks like they are often for landscaping applications. Has anybody tried these and if so, did they work well as a complete replacement for the sealed beam bulbs in there? Were there any issues with muffler heat cooking the diodes?

I have had some issues with LED retrofitting if there is heat involved. On my HB112 I have a set of round LEDs mounted in the grille and the engine has caused a few pixels to die a few months in. Not sure if it is heat or vibration on the traces.
