Are these housings shot?

Recommended Posts

I've been going through a bunch of deck parts I savaged and have 2 questionably lower housings:

They both have good bearing bores as I had to press them out and they put up some resistance. The top one appears to have a bit of the hole wallowed out but I don't know that it would affect the performance of it.

The bottom one has some scoring on the outside, I'm not entirely sure from what. The out race is still stuck in that one and I may have to score the race to get it out, but that's no problem.

Should I blast them and repaint or are they shot?

I have a worse looking on a Yazoo I rebuilt a long time ago, 10 years or so. I would hang on to them for a just in case.. Must be one of the reasons my shop is getting harder and harder to walk through?

They're in the recycling! I have 3 other complete sets I'll blast down and repaint to have on the shelf but you guys are right, for the cost of replacements they aren't worth trying to salvage.
