4. This contest is open for owners to enter their own tractors, or by having someone else nominate them - upon which owner must accept and post entry.

5. The contest is limited to the first 8 entries submitted. This due to the poll system only being able to accommodate 8 entries. Following the 8th entry, the contest topic will be closed to further entries. Votes will be taken in the normal time frame as stated below.

6. Post your entry as a reply to this topic. Narrative and pictures are required - This to tell its story, and to convince voters why it is deserving of being the next Club's tractor of the month.

7. You can enter a tractor/equipment multiple times (months), but it can only win once per year. Once that tractor has won, you cannot submit that tractor again for a year on any subject.

9.Following each months submission period, a poll topic will then be opened and members will be asked to vote on the nicest tractor listed in the nomination topic. All members and registered users are eligible to vote. Vote will last for a period of two weeks , from the 15th day of month to the last day of each month. The new winner will be declared on the 1st of each month.

10. Wining tractors each month will be posted on the club home page for a period of one month, 1st day of the month to the last day of the month, and a Contest winners hat will be sent to the winner.

12. All pictures submitted should be sized to 640x480 to maintain consistency and neatness in presentation. If contest criteria calls for multiple tractors, please put all the tractors in one picture, rather than posting a series of pictures showing individual tractors. Its the only way to get all your winning equipment, for such a contest, in the picture on the Club home page

13. Final vote results will be posted to Poll topic at the time the Poll topic is closed. These posted results are the official, and FINAL results that will determine the winner each month regardless of any further votes cast After the polls have been closed. This is stated because while replies cannot be made after a poll topic is closed, apparently votes can continue to be cast. Its a technical issue that we have to work around at the present time.

14. In the event of a tie, the following procedure will be in effect. The tied winners will share having their pictures posted on the Club home page, each having an equal amount of the months time in the spotlight. There will only be one hat awarded though, and so there will be a run-off vote between the tied members for the hat. This vote will last 2 weeks. The winner of this second run-off vote will receive the winners hat.

If a tied winner has already won a contest and a hat, the hat for the tied contest will automatically be given to other tied winner who has not won one yet.

This is the 725 puller built by Simpletom (Tom Drzewiecki). I bought it from him 3 years ago and it still has yet to pull even though it is built to regulations. I plan to pull it for the first time this September. 16hp 2 cylinder briggs, late model 3 speed trans, all Simplicity parts. Getting work done to it and being fine tuned.

I will submit my 1978 Simplicity 7016 6 speed. I have known the tractor since it was new. A neighbor on the street I grew up on bought it new. Another neighbor was into pulling too. So, the tractor immediately got a pulling hitch and some 26x12-12 tires put on it to go pulling in a stock class. It won the first time out. It was pulled on and off into the late 1980's as a true stock tractor, and driven by other neighborhood kids. Fast forward to the late 1990's, and it ended up as a run down trade in at a local dealer - still had the old Goodyear pulling tires on it and the pulling hitch since the turf tires were loaded and rims rotted. The ag tires got sold off it, and the tractor sat in what got nick-named "death row" for almost 2 years. A few parts got taken off it - was never officially a parts tractor though. In the fall of 1999, I heard about a club about 45 minutes away that pulled garden tractors. So, I checked it out and myself and 2 buddies that pulled as kids just had to do it again. I dragged the 7016 out of death row and cleaned things up to make it function again. Wasn't pretty, but it was good running. Scored one class win in points that year and runner up in another. Ran 950 and 1150lbs in 2 different divisions - mostly based on tire size and engine mods. Over the winter from 2000 to 2001, I did a complete redo (other than the trans and BGB which I did the year before). The only things I didn't do was the paint - didn't have a place to do the paint, but I did all the prep and primer. I didn't do the machining to bore it or balance it, but all other engine assembly and prep was done by me. It still has the original Briggs 16hp cast iron engine. Bored .030", milled head, converted to Magnetron, 3 angle valve job, fully balanced, fully deburred and painted block, glass beaded head, ported/polished/gasket matched. Governed to 5000rpm. It lost 50lbs becoming a puller. No low range, deck lift and many other items gone. No charging system etc.. It will never mow lawn again without some serious work. I ran for points in both weights in both classes in 2001. I took all 4 trophies, plus scored a few others with different clubs. The next year saw occasional hooks, and then parked until 2008. Ran one pull for fun. Parked until 2011 and ran one pull for fun. Parked until 2015 and ran the hometown fair and picked up a trophy. Hopefully in a couple of years my daughter will have a place to run it. I wish I had more pics of it actually pulling, but it was hard to find someone to use my camera and get good pics.

Here's my AC 919 Puller with a stock Kohler Command 20 h.p. It was originally a hydro but was changed out for the 6-speed. We added an addition range so basically it's a 9-speed now. Unfortunately all the trophies and ribbons we won are kept at my parents home.. sm01

This is my son Jason's ride, it's a B112 with a Briggs 32 cube engine that runs in the 950 and 1050lb Hot Stock class. We run open rpm at just under 6000rpm. It took us a long time to get the Briggs to run with the Kohler engines but once we figured it out it's been an incredible amount of fun. We were to bull headed to give in to a Kohler engine so we had to make it work! It's been very strong in both classes with a couple of points wins.

Since no one else added another tractor, here is my mutt 717 that I hooked in a deadweight pull back in 2002 on a whim. The local antique tractor show at the Muskegon County Fairgrounds had a deadweight pull, no entry fee, so I loaded the old Broadmoor up in the truck and ran over to the pull after work. I ran it in the 600, 700 and 800lb class. I won the 600 and 700lb classes - got a couple of cool t-shirts as trophies. However, by the 800lb class, I had to borrow a couple of large tractor weights to sit on to make the class. Ended up spinning my wheels inside the tires, which ripped off the inner tube valve stems. Had to buy new tubes. Didn't win that class. Oh well, it was fun.I had to remove the belt for the mower deck for safety. I had the factory weights on the tractor too. I could only get one donut on the rear - the 20x10-8 tires are a little big. I think I moved a sled that weighed 1100lbs. All I had was a clevis in the original drawbar, not even a higher pulling hitch that would have been allowed. I had to have a buddy walk along with his hand over the hood to push it down if it wheelied too high. Not a big problem with a stock drawbar.
