7013 Project

Recommended Posts

Hello Gang, while we were on vacation, we stopped at Dupies Small engine in Kalkaska, MI and got a very good deal on a 16HP out of a 3416H. I brought it home and stuck a carb on it and it fired on the first pull and started on the 3rd (missing the booster fan for starter so I just used a rope starter cup I had). Well, sad to say but I "chopped" the frame on my 7013H to fit in a 9HP motor with the incorrect oil pan fill/drain to fit into a 7000. After I bought this motor, I decided that I wanted more power and the tractor to look 100% Original. So... out come the grinder and welder for a "back to original" project.

First, I traced the hole in the frame onto a piece of cardboard and made a template to trace onto the bar stock.

Comparison between the template and actual piece.Due to the way the frame was cut, the inner most part of the hole was angled slightly which called for some extra grinding of the metal.

The 16HP with the proper fill and drain is now mounted in the frame

The gaps and groves will be filled in with body filler and then painted to match the frame. Hope you enjoyed my little project. Good to see it looking original again!!

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁

It's in pretty sad shape, but yes I have a yellow plastic cap that I'm fairly certain is what you need. PM me your details and I'll get it out to you.
