Allis chalmers b-20 something

Jonette, Based on what I've read (no first-hand experience) I suspect he has either a B-206, B-207, or B-208. These tractors had vertical shaft Briggs engines, instead of horizontal shaft like the rest of the B-series. These tractors were made in the Allis-Chalmers plant in Lexington SC, as best as I can tell, and used some Simplicity components -- but not necessarily all. They are not as close to their Simplicity Broadmoor counterparts as the larger "B-series" are to the Landlords or Sovereigns. Here's a peek at the rear end of one, from the Owner's Manual that I've linked in below -- I couldn't find a better view. I have a friend with a allis that is partially restored. He has a tractor with a different rearend than any simplicity I've seen. It is an allis tractor. The rearent looks like a simplicity 2010 series, but it is in a broadmoar frame. We have not been a allis dealer, so this is the reason for the question. Was there a difference in the gearboxes? If so Why? Thank you for your help!
