I recognize it from somewhere, but can not place it.  It isn't part of the large frame Sovereigns I am used to, but I am sure I have seen this before?  Or am I daft?  Looks kinda like a good bottle opener if nothing else......

Maybe 6" long.  Look like a release lever of some kind to me.  Maybe I'm imagining things but it seems I have seen this before, but can't place it.

If it was about an inch or so long, it would remind me of the special tool used for compressing the detent ball & spring in a ratchet head while you assemble it.  But not at 6".
