4040 for sale

I see this for other models. So I will give it a try. Wow! That's a pretty hefty price for a 4040. I figure it would be worth it if it were completely gone thru. Hydro and Engine rebuilt, new bearings, new paint etc. If not, it's probably worth more in the range of $1800-2000 in good running order. Just my opinion. Paul

I don't know, Paul. It looks pretty decent and the mower deck looks like its in good condition. Plus, it comes with a couple of other implements. I guess it all depends on how well it was maintained, the condition of the wear parts, engine compression, etc. The hours are starting to get up there - but, I always think of Floydster and his twin 620's with over 3000 hours. Why do I see so many 4040's with gray hoods, center consoles and wheels? I've come across a few of them painted this way. Jeff
