Gees. I'm embarrased to say only 15 right now. Only 1 chain saw not running. Too much starting fluid caused it's demise.....Brent

Do Paslode Impulse fastening tools count? I've got three of them. Each has a spark plug and a cylinder that drives the nail/staple. They (ITW) call it an internal combustion engine nailer. Anyway, I forgot a push mower and two chainsaws first time around, so counting the paslodes, I've got 43 total. Hey, that's my age too! I turn 44 on the 16th so I, or somebody, better get shopping! 23 (one in parts) 1 on the way so total of 24. 1 Cyl/year seems very reasonable. I am approx. 1/2 below my allowable CI index. I will bring this to my wife's attention and advise you on how it goes.

I will have to tell my wife how lucky she is... I only have 40. 30 are woking 9 are not including a 1948 studebaker p/u truck (flat head 6). I just got my other gravely 7.6 running today, but I just picked up a cub cadet model 76 and it is not running. It looks like I have alot of catching up to do. PS I turn 43 on 3/4/02 so I'm at least 3 cylinders short. Some folks may say that I'm not running on all cylinders anyway!! John H

Lets see. 10 (V6 Camry + 4 cyl truck) + 2 (40 hp Force) + 4 (V2 Sovereign + 2 Simplicity 700/725's) + 1 (loose Briggs for a generator) + 1 (chainsaw) + 2 (1966 Toro mower + 1 spare engine) = 20 total. At age 59 it looks like I'm underprivileged and need some more. I didn't count young son's truck which was recently signed over to him. Oops, nearly forgot. Add 2 (Mercury 10 hp, not running) to make it 22 Total. Roy

Mine is 45 and all running. 27 of the 45 are all small engines. Everyone don't forget your chainsaws, weed trimmer, leaf blower, etc. A great C.I. is a number the same or greater than your age. Happy counting. Mike S.

This seems incredible, and must certainly go into the "You Know You're White Trash If..." column, but I have 93 (ninety-three) cylinders, 79 of which are running. If this seems incredible, I'll list them, b/c I certainly don't want to be thought of as a liar. Now that's counting the girlfriend's car (4 cyl.) and a car someone abandoned at the cottage, but there it is. I take care of the family's cottage, so I have a lot of them up there. I might add that 5 engines are 6 cyl., and only 2 are V-8's, one of which is a boat anchor. I've always seemed to attract the 6 cylinders, no matter what I do. Oh, yes, I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple of walk behind lawn mowers, so I will be revising this. Peter

I didn't realize that your CI was supposed to be higher than your age.... wonder if I could use that for additional justification with the missus? I'm obviously running behind....

I know that I have forgotten a few but I come up with 70 that run and I know of at least 10 that do not as of yet but am slow to work on them.26 of them are in between cars and trucks and not a v 8 in one of them.Got the standard twin to start last night but have to do some work on the crank.Did not want to pop out when it started one time.Bob with 4 ft of snow in the drive way.

Jordan, how do you find time to take care of other things, like eating? And you only have one "spare" engine in amongst all those cylinders?

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
