So, where do you find an engine????

I found one for my 1973/74 Homelite T-16 today. Went to a farm consignment sale this morning in the bad weather, even got stuck in the ditch for a little while-but it was worth it! At first I didn't see anything there I needed till I ran a cross a 40' Mayrath grain auger. Guess what was on it?..... A 16hp Cast Briggs model 326431. Clean, good gas great compression, and the carb looks to have been rebuilt. I figured $50 was a good gamble. Now I just have to figure out what to do with the auger...???.... Engines are not alwways found in tractors,, Ha Ha!

I know of a guy who is useing a grain auger to transfer coal into his basement bunker. He has an electric motor on it and it moves coal (rice size) like there's no tomorrow. C'mon members, let's help Sam figger out some outlandish use for his auger. Dick

Sam, take the flighting(part that looks like a screw, in case you don't know the terms) out of the tube. Step 2: Use The Handy-Man's Secret Weapon(Duct Tape) to attach it to the hood of one of your garden tractors. Make this into an oversize potato cannon. You could shoot watermelon, musk melon, frozen chickens, etc. "Keep your stick on the ice" Jordan

Putter, Not much to tell really. Had the Homelite out haulin the dump cart and cleanin the wifes chicken roost out after dark when I heard some loud music and saw a car way out on the road go through the dip up the hill and out of sight towards the end of my drive. Heard the car(music) slow down a minute then speed up towards to highway. Wife came home 20 minutes later and said the mailbox had been wacked with something. The dent looked like a 2x4 possibly hit it. In any case, at least she survive the assault this time . Just had to bend the door opening out a little. I'm trying to persuade the local postmaster to let me put the damn thing back in my drive where it was when we moved out here before they asked me to move it. (delivery person has to drive into the drive to turn around anyhow as I am the last on this route) Gotta make all the postal people happy with whatever is done. You know how those disgruntled postal employees can get....... I know..........Bad tatse Jordan Nice to seeanother Red Green fan !

Sam, how do you know a 326431 is a 16hp? I was told mine is 14hp by an old gentalman that been in the bussiness since 2 days before time began. He looked it up in a briggs book that covered about 3 feet in width..MPH
