TFF 13 Posted January 6, 2017 I have a repowered 9020 - Honda GX670. Will this affect the PTO speed? I know that a simplicity tiller would require, I think, 2000 rpm. Not sure if the Honda will have an affect on it.
Kent 435 Posted January 6, 2017 As long as you have the Honda turning 3600RPM (which it should do), then it will match the speed of the original Onan, meaning no change to the PTO speed...
jlasater 285 Posted January 6, 2017 Kent is right. As long as the Honda can do the same RPM at full throttle, you will be fine.
TFF 13 Posted January 6, 2017 Ok, thanks. Now I need to find a tiller!
isetta 50 Posted January 6, 2017 Wouldn't it be awesome to find the tiller as fast as your answer about rpm. This is a resourceful group you never know Good luck with the tiller!
TFF 13 Posted January 11, 2017 As luck would have it, I found one. And for 300 bucks. Must be fate.
720nut 4,225 Posted January 11, 2017 That cheap would assume it needs work? If it's in decent shape you better grab it.
isetta 50 Posted January 14, 2017 Post some pics when you get it
TFF 13 Posted January 14, 2017 I have to clean it up some, but it spins freely. Can't wait until spring!
jverhaag 10 Posted January 20, 2017 A little bit of paint and you should be good to go. I didn't realize there was a cover for the cross top drive shaft. Mine didn't come with one and I never missed it. The seals on your transfere box aren't leaking either. Nice find. That was fast. Maybe someone can find me a snow blower
720nut 4,225 Posted January 20, 2017 I have a snow blower but no mule drive I would like to sell. Thomas nice find looks really nice, I see it has rear flap mine is missing and wonder would you mind measuring and posting as several of us need to have one made. I don't see a PTO shaft you did get right, they can be rather pricey
TFF 13 Posted January 27, 2017 Yes, got the PTO shaft. I will take measurements this weekend and post.
TFF 13 Posted February 26, 2017 The rear flap dimensions are 49 and 5/8 by 9 and 1/4. First weekend it wasn't buried under the snow...sorry for the delay.
720nut 4,225 Posted February 27, 2017 Thanks Thomas I'll see about making one.
