Putting new belt on 36 in snowblower

I broke the belt on my 36 inch single belt snowblower. Does the belt go from the bottom of the big pully to the bottom of the idler pully or from the top of the big pulley to the bottom of the idler? Thanks McGill I'm sorry if this is posted twice but my previous post doesn't seem to be here.

What tractor is this on? mine has two angle changin idlers, sounds like you only have one..MPH

Dennis, If it's a 36", single-belt type, for anything older than a 3300 Series Simplicity or 300 Series AC, this should work. See the link below...
