Engine Replacement

What all do you think I would need to switch? what does the CH620 mean? will it have an electrical plug to fit my tractor? Any other helpful ideas?

What is reasoning for tapered shaft?  generator replacement?

Assume it would cause some problems with front clutch. Just my $.02

As Lloyd stated, if you're planning on installing front clutch of some type,  then the referenced engine won't do since it has a tapered shaft.

I don't remember exactly what you're replacing.  If it's a shot Command, there would be parts to swap over to make it a Sovereign "spec" engine as I describe in the referenced post.  If not, you'll have to buy replacement parts and swap them onto the replacement engine.

The newer CH620 is pretty much the same as the older CH18 engines.  I don't know why they changed the name.  I've heard it was to meet new government regulations about power ratings, but I don't know for sure.
