Have you guys seen this comparison? There was 9 different tractors involved. This is my concern. They put the regent 17 hp against some v-twins. This was obviosly a jd comparison. The simplicity with a mulching deck was put against a number of the rest with side discharge decks. If you are shooting apples for apples, think again. I am not saying we were cheated, but I do beleive that it was not a fair comparison. I suppose if you drifted across your neighborhood for an hour or two, you might run into the mulching series of riders. But, I do not think it is appropriate to say that these riders can be compared. I think that the series of jd they compared is almost equal to the broadmoor series. I say almost because the lower series of jd is no more than a murray. Apples for apples, simplicity is hands down the winner!

Most of those "Consumer Reports" type articles should be taken with a grain of salt. They're okay for those who haven't got a clue.
