Broken Balls....Attn: Sandy Lake--"Big" Parts Ord

Hey Bill, an' All: I need a few, small parts, but first I need to update Brent and everyone else who provided help w/ my Starter-Gen. (esp. the rebuild manual--thanks Brent!). Just one month later, I found the 20 min. it took to get to dissassemble my seized Starter-Gen, and I found the drive end bearing's balls were about half broken! BTW, Frankie and all who encouraged me, thank you, the S-G couldn't have come apart any easier if it were a teaching aid in a shop class! (Brushes, shaft, other bearing an' all look good. Armature had just started to hit the guards on the field windings inside the case, at the Drive End, as bearing failed. Appears to be no real damage.) So the bearing appeared to be dry, and these balls apparently shattered without it even getting hot, as the bearing wasn't warm when it happened and isn't "blued" at all. I thought that was odd..., particularly as the belt was, IMHO, not overly tight. So Bill, the Parts I need are as follows, and please tell me how best to do this--do I call and pay w/ credit card when placing the order, etc...? If so, pls supply numbers/times to call. Needed: 1. Drive-end ball bearing/race assy. My Starter-Gen. part no. is different from that shown in the Briggs Manual online at the B&S site--mine is 1101945 0J2. 2. The circular ring (approx. 1+1/2" O.D. x 1" I.D.) w/ the 1/16" "nub" on one side which goes b/w the bearing and the Drive Frame End cap. The broken balls bent this ring some, but I could straighten it if it's ex$pen$ive. 3. A carburetor kit so I can completely dissassemble and soak the whole carb in carb cleaner. If there are soft parts inside that are not included in the kit, please explain, so I do not ruin something made out of "unobtainium." This replacement engine is an 8 hp. Briggs, w/ the engine following numbers: Model: 200401 Type: 0019-01 Code: 7002181 Serial No.: B-729333 Now, I could find no #'s/names on the carb, but I'm guessing it is the 7hp. carb reused on this 8hp repower job. It seems to have been stripped before, w/ vestiges of old, oxidized Simplicity Orange paint still on it. I see one new gasket and one old. Is there a jet upgrade I should use since I now have an 8hp., not a 7hp.? How can I identify if this is a carb for a 7hp. or an 8hp., or is there NO difference? 4. (I'm pushing it, here, I know) A photocopy of the exploded view of the carb--haven't found a Briggs manual I want to buy yet.... 5. I need the replacement "flex disc" for the front end of the driveshaft, closest to the engine, as my disc has a decent case of "the wobbles." I understand they are now fiberglas, not rubber? 6. Would I get the front axle bushing directly from Simplicity? 7. I have a single drive pulley on my center PT0, yet the tractor came w/ a Haban sicklebar. What is involved in switching to the dual pulley setup, which I understand you need to run the Haban at half the RPM of the mower deck, if I am correct. Would like prices, new/used if possible. 8. If it's not too much trouble, could a photocopy be sent w/ parts (or emailed, if easier)of what the rear PTO assy. is supposed to look like? Or please tell me where it is in my new Simplicity Large Frame Tractor Manual, as I can't find it, and want to get a tiller. For that matter, all I've got in the front is a shaft w/ a damaged key stuck in it. Do snowblowers usually come w/ a clutch on the hitch assy., or do I need a separate front PTO? I want to get a SINGLE belt blower, but understand tractor orig. had only a 3-belt blower available, but single will retrofit? *Phew!* Thanks again, all. Peter
