Legacy Shaft Driven Tiller

I was kinda surprised tonite when I got home and checked messages on my voicemail to find Simplicity Manufacturing had called. I was looking at the Simplicity website last nite, and emailed them a question regarding the 50" tiller for the Legacy. The site says that it is a Cat 0 tiller with options for 540 and/or 2000 rpm PTO's. I had asked them if the Legacy had the same 15 tooth internal spline as he Powermax does. I have to call them back tomorrow. I'll keep you posted as to what they say. Paul

I talked to Simplicity today and they confirmed that the Legacy had the same 15 tooth internal spline PTO connection. He couldn't guarantee that the tiller would work on the powermax, but if the hitch and hookup is the same, I can't see any other variables. I guess the best would be to take a close look at a Legacy PTO before buying a tiller for your Powermax. MSRP is $1839.00! Paul
