Dump carts II - Updated

I reviewed the information on the dump carts at this site and realized how really good the Simplicity carts are. Their solution to fully dumping the carts by first tripping the cart to dump and then when the back of the cart is down to back the tractor up further to tip the cart for sticky material is great. I had missed that description and now fully appreciate the cart's design.Other carts I have the load tips and stays in the cart until you get out manually remove the material..Woody

My earlier post is near the bottom of the page, so I will post a new message. I contacted Rodger Hays, General Mgr of the Manufacturing Division of Ohio Steel. He informed me that they did or do make carts for Simplicity. He was not sure whether or not the Ohio Steel made carts had the double dumping configuration, and referred me to another area. Am awaiting a response now. I also previously mentioned a Simplicity dealer who sells the carts for $189. The list price on this cart is $199. Will add more as I find out more. Just got a message from Andrea Sherman, head of customer service at Ohio steel. She states that it has been some years since they produced the cart for Simplicity. She says that they did not have the double dumping action of the Simplicity carts. Back to square one, I guess. Pat

Pat, I just sent Simplicity the following email: "Please advise if a 10 cubic foot dump cart is still available. I presently own a #1600236, and want another similar to it. The cart is the type that can be inverted on a balanced pivot without unhitching." I'll post here if I get a response. I'm surprised none of the dealer members of this club haven't addressed this "mystery."

Dutch, My uncle, new member "Texas Swede", put that question to Simplicity last week and has not recieved a response as yet. We'll see who gets an answer first. Did you add any graphics, sounds, etc. to your question to get their attention? Pat
