4040 Steering

My steering is a 100% better since I replaced the bushings on the axle and cleaned all the ball joints, I can't help but think that I could futher improve it by attaching hard rubber between the axle and the frame to cushion or remove the movement thats still there when I turn the steering wheel. As long as I left enough gap so it wouldn't hinder the up and down movement that needs to be there for the deck, i should be fine has anyone tried anything like this? Thanks for replys!
