Original manuals.

The deck u won't hear it when engager , unbelievable smooth .

what a beauty

What u see under it is water not oil .

Very nice tractor!  Great find!  Other than the diesel, the most powerful Sovereign every produced by Simplicity.

Now i know why the owner sold it .

Tractor has a tranny leak from the input shaft seal ( easy fix to me ) .

For that he cleaned the heck out of it before putting  it up for sale .

Another thing he did wrong and luckily I checked , the carb air assembly screws that hold it to the carb elbow where not tightened down properly . .

Carb adjustments way off , he had the main fuel 1/4 turn while it is  suppose to be 2 1/2 +/-

the low he had it at 3 turns while it is suppose to be at 1 1/4  +/-.

I don't know how that tractor was running with such a combination .

Any way I fixed carb , tractor runs like a Cadillac, what a beast .

I will change that seal when I get it , I am surprised I don't have one as I keep extra all the time .

I bought the twin to this tractor today along with a 5212.

Unfortunately the engine in it is OEM series 1 and not a series 2.

Judging by condition of the tractor it's low hrs and runs very nice but still am concerned about the kt19 series one even though my yard is flat.....should I be concerned about this engine?

I have never owned a tractor that had a cone clutch as silent as this beast.

My series 1 917 has had no issues on the flat.  And I even run it up and down a hill from time to time...still runs!

Even some hills are not a problem as long as you don't stay sidehilling for a long time.   More important and already said is keep the oil full and clean, and keep the fins clean so it runs cool.    The spec is 30 degs angle side to side and front to back (when full of oil).
