Ah the smell of a new tractor!

Just got in a 23 hp Legacy. We sold it with the 50" tiller and a 54" deck. It was great uncrating it and smelling the new seat and paint. It looks beautiful sitting in the shop with no paint dings or anything. I know the owner is going to take care of it because he has owned his previous unit since 1974 or so, a 4040 of course. I am most proud to see that people still appreciate a good product. You do get what you pay for. Lawn mowers and tractors are the same as computers. Garbage in, Garbage out!

I'm glad I came across the AC 716H that I bought before shelling out thousands of dollars for a John Deere machine. Even if I find a 720 for sale, I'll still be keeping this 716H :-) (now if I can just find the 38" heavy duty tiller optionf or the 716)[A href='http://www.wheatfarm.com']http://www.wheatfarm.com[/a]

I had the same close call as Jeremy. I almost went to a new Deere. Then serendipity occurred (at 45 mph ! ). I new that old AC312 I saw was the tractor for me. It sure is nice to have a manual that say "printed in USA" and it's ALL in english ! Steve

Bah Humbug! I'd have kept the 4040!... LOL Actually I was kinda surprised that the Legacy went 1100 to 1200 pounds dry weight. I guess it's a heavier tractor than I thought. As much as I like my Powermax tractors I'd still take a Legacy any day over say a Kubota B1700. Paul
