your id plate would have been located behind the seat on what i would call the seat deck. Quite freq. these id tags either fall or become illedgable (faded) as is the case with some of the numbers on my machines. next best thing is to check for ser#'s on the engine. Most 700's had mod 19 B\S on them. and if I'm wrong on any of this I'm sure to be corrected. Good luck !!!

Where did you find the serial numbers that you used in the Tractor Registry? I'm running out of places to look!

Reed is correct if that ID plate is missing then there is no place else outside of what Reed has stated if the engine is still orginal then that is a fair measure of dating your machine. However as I have seen this ID plate realy doesn't do us any good until Simplicity Mfg. can come up with data need. Otherwise they as we all know go only by model #990... for parts. Good Luck! Jeff

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
