Lost Knowledge

Some threads start off talking about “apples”, then drift over to “oranges.” That’s no big deal when the “oranges” are nonsense or jokes. But, sometimes VALUABLE info is buried in those threads. I’m as guilty as the next guy. How about starting a new thread if the topic drifts to another important discussion? Then we can do a "search" and find info at a later date.

I'm all for accuracy in subject headings but just a point of info...doesn't the "search" function also pick up words in the text of the discussions, as well?

Huh!!?? Does this relate to my wife's comments about my attention span? And what is an attention span? The span of the new bridge they are erecting - that is something isn't it. And you see how erect the morning flag girl stands!! ?? Where did I put my glasses?

Herb, funny you make a post on subject matter drift. I was just thinkin last night how far off variable speed adjusting a post got when I made mention of the yard rake on my 112 as an example of working it hard. Wonder if Beamer ever got enough info to adjust his belt. I agree with your concern of lost info after page one but it does make interesting reading ..MPH

but won't a "search" for an item bring up all reference to that item - even though the kumquat is buried deep in the apples and oranges? - kent? (btw, the manual is on the way - speaking of buried)

Dutch is correct, Dave. The current "search" function only looks at the main message -- not the replies. That's one of the many enhancements I want to include in the new version of the clubhouse I've been slowly working on.... And thanks for the copy! Let me know what you think of your horn!

Hmmmmmm, guess I'm not the only one then. I intercepted my wife with th HB-116 on her way back to the house from the barn the other night after I finished wiring mine in. Honked at her all the way up to the house. I don't think she was as impressed as the kids were............

So like I've said before, I always do what Lorraine asks right away so I can keep buying tractors AND keep them. If you want to REALLY get your sweetheart off your back you get her one of these for her birthday like I did...MadManX
