Couple issues with wiring command from triad with pics

Recommended Posts

So I have the command bolted in and the driveshaft hooked up. I have been going over the posts on wiring and it looks fairly simple but I just want to make sure I am doing this right. One thing I have going for me is the command I have is from a sovereign.

Is this blue wire the one I am going to run to the right side of the terminal under the dash that BLT put in this diagram?

I was able to steal the plug off the Sovereign that this command came in. In looking at the triad tractor plug, there are only two wires. The command plug has three. I am assuming white goes to white...how should I connect the other wire that is red with a blue stripe?

Leave the blue wire alone as well as all connectors on the engine plug.

Unless you have the opposite gender connectors that fit the salvaged connector, cut the 2 wires from the original tractor connector (white and red/blue trace) and splice them to the wires coming from the salvaged connector.

NOTE: you may have to relocate some of the wires in the salvaged connector to match up the wiring (I don't remember).

Then extend the orange wire back to the dash starter solenoid (as shown in BLT info).

Connections are:

White to White

Orange to Blue & Red (2 wires on engine side of plug for start)

Red/Blue Stripe to Purple & Red (2 wires on engine side of plug for +12v)

The reason for the double wires is to have +12v to fuel solenoid for both start and run switch positions.  The engine wiring also allows the engine to run without a battery (assuming the charging circuit is working)

Better explanation (hopefully)

Hello glad I got on this site. I hope to upload a couple of photos of my Simplicity Broadmoor
Model 707 Tractor. I have replaced all the belts on it and installed a new ignition switch.
Have a mower deck which was in poor shape , repaced a couple of bushings and welded the
deck where there was some holes. The tractor and mower deck came from a friend and the
mower deck metal was getting pretty thin. Some new metal was put in it and we also undercoated the underside of the deck. This was done by my friend Greg Toulman.
I have not put the mower deck on the tractor yet, waiting for Greg to come home and give me a hand. Can you please tell me if there is a manual for the mower deck and where I could get one.
I would also like to get some moon wheel discs as well.
I will try and down load some photos of the tractor when my wife shows me how to.
I really love driving this tractor and also how well it is made compare today's tractors, especially the flexible rear end and the rollers.
      Tell the next time
      Paul
