Guest Report post Posted March 28, 2002 I am just starting to restore a 725. Where are model/serial nos. located? What sparkplug does the model 19 Briggs & Stratton take? Lots of tech info out there but nothing a basic as plug type. Thanks, Bob

johnmonkey 4 Report post Posted March 28, 2002 You could try a word search for spark plug (maybe a champ J8 but not sure). The serial number is located behind the seat on a tag. The tag wears off though I have 2 (a 725 & a 700) and both of them do not have serial numbers.
JonetteP 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2002 We recommend the NGK B2-LM. It is hotter than a j-8, and will run on today's crappy fuels.
