Sovereign PS Cylinder Wall Thickness

Anyone know how thick the Sovereign power steering cylinder wall is?

Found this while doing some front end maintenance on my "new" Sov18 w/PS:IMG_9510.thumb.JPG.7db20f2541e48adae0da538e4c9bd80e.JPG

The "rub" is about  1/16" plus in depth.  I was surprised the footrest wasn't worn more:

I surely don't want the cylinder to spring a leak, so I'll try to pry the footrest up for clearance as SimilinSam did or grind the footrest as I did on my 75th:

This tractor was OEM PS, so that's about 20 years of wear.

Anyone else checked there OEM PS Sovereign's for footrest PS cylinder wear?

I installed PS on my Sovereign 18 probably 10 years ago & hadn't noticed that until after reading this post.

I have a very slight indentation that I never noticed.  I will be addressing this soon.

Thanks Bill.

Somewhere on here was a cylinder that someone cut and rebuilt, I remember seeing it but not good at finding.

will have to check mine and see if it's wearing.

Mine looked like that on my 18hp Sovereign 10 years ago.  I haven't done anything about it - figured it was as worn as it was going to get when I got the tractor given the hours it likely had on it at that time.  Tim
