Hi,

I recently purchased a used 1998 20 hp Simplicity Tractor. I went to start it and the key fell out after I turned the ignition on. I can not get the key back in to turn the ignition off. How do I do so? Do I have to be sitting on the seat to get the key I . Totally confused. Can you help?

Thanks,adkron

If you are going to replace the switch...be extra certain you are buying the correct switch. Don't just go off of the part number. You MUST compare the rear connectors to be certain they are EXACTLY the same as the original otherwise the switch will NOT work!

Yes, you likely need a new switch. Make sure the new switch has the same amount of terminals and are marked in the same way as the old one. You can get switches with the same terminals but they may not be wired the same as the old one.
