I know this sight is about garden tractors and mowers. I have just came across a parts catalog for AC mini & trail bikes; 4hp mini, 5hp mini and 5hp trail. Would anybody want want to have this catalog be a part of this sight? Also would anybody want to have an AC-Simp. minibike section on this sight? If so please respond this this message and I will ask permission and go through the proper channels in trying to achieve this. All my research and the knowledge of the fellow club members would be very helpful to somebody restoring one of these neet little bikes. Thank you, Ryan

The mini bikes as well as Terra-Tigers, chain saws and tillers were all part of the A-C Outdoor Products Division which was based out of Lexington SC in it's hayday. Personally I'd like to see them included here, but there arn't Simplicity equivalents. Not sure how the Simplicity members would respond? But this site is the only chance for those items.

Yes, I love all that old outdoor rec/power eqiupment, and would like to see it here. Coincidentally, I've been reading recently about the AC "Terra Tiger"--6 wheels, 2 stroke (snowmobile engine, I believe), no reverse, floats. People are still running them from the 70's, and some brands from the 60's. Not sure about when the AC's were first built. Has anyone seen a "SnowRabbit?" Think, minibike w/ ski for front wheel and a small, skinny snowmobile track in rear, powered by an single cyl., 8hp. Chrysler 2-stroke, which is exactly what powered the TWO-WHEEL-DRIVE, Rokon all terrain motorcycle. Oh, don't get me goin--did I mention the aluminum wheels of the Rokon (and they have tires like off of a compact tractor, or bigger) can be filled w/ water, GASOLINE, or whatever else you need to take w/ you into the woods? But I dirgress...I'd be happy to see the AC minibikes and power tools on the sight, and I have a Simplicity tractor, no AC stuff. It's "all in the family," right? You can see a Terra Tiger at the link below, (main site: http://www.route6x6.com/) See the "Museum" for about 40 such companies--it's alphabetically arranged--scroll down. (Hey this was my first attempt to "link" anything. Couldn't make the pic work, tho', so guess I'll have to read the directions. I hate when that happens....) I have to say, the AC Terra Tiger looked better than many of the 60+ ATV 6-Wheeler mfrs. in competition w/ the AC Terra Tiger in the 60's, IMO.[A href='http://www.route6x6.com/museum/terratiger.html']http://www.route6x6.com/museum/terratiger.html[/a]

Rob: Thanks for the SnoRunner/SnoRabbit link! I would like to find one of those, just for winter merriment and General Disorder.... I never knew the whole, short story before, but I believe the SnoRabbit I saw saw did say Chrysler on it, but it could have just been on the engine. Weird, wild stuff, as Johnny C. would say. Peter

Big Six, I have seen a couple of sno runners, I barely missed two sno rabbits many years ago in the local paper, one running/one needed work, $95 for the pair. I would have been a great deal. I attached a link if anyone is curious as to what these looked like. I currently have a ski wee, it is similar to these except it used a 5hp tecumseh and has a pair of ski's on front and a wider track. I still keep my eyes open for a sno runner/rabbit. Speaking of AC stuff, I traded a Cub for the AC golf cart that was listed for sale last week, just dumb luck the guy selling it lives a few towns north and the cart was actually located in my town. Heres a pic of the cart if it works.
