Another cool archive photograph - 7790 engine install

I was digging through literature again this weekwnd and got all my origonal photos pulled out and grouped together.  I have a few neat ones I will share. 

This week’s is a photo of the assembly line showing two Simplicity workers stuffing a Lombardini into a 7790.  Dated December 1984.

No PPE wah

 

No side shields on glasses, no hearing protection, no gloves etc.

OSHA would have a field day today on those conditions.

 

But cool pics though.  Lots of archive sites out there, look for some from Fords Rouge plant for some scary ones.

Folks were much stronger back then.  Did that kind of stuff routinely.

I agree.  When I was in the 5th grade, the cool guys in the 8th grade chewed tobacco.  So we all brought raisins in our lunch, chewed them into a juicy mash, and went around the playground spitting brown juice just like the "big guys."
