Welcome to the site.  Wanted ads have a separate area to be posted.

Now if you were asking how to install , or adapting an electric clutch this would be the right place.

Is the front shaft diameter 1" or 1 1/8"?

It looks like you have the right hitch for the front clutch set-up.

Hello PhanDad,

My AC 712 Hydro has a 1" front shaft. Do you recommend any electric front PTO assemblies that work for my tractor? I wouldn't know where to begin to be honest.

thanks

Dennis

I've run a Warner #5215-142 electric clutch on the Briggs 16HP single cylinder engine to drive a Simplicity snow blower:

It's for a 1" shaft.  Another manufacturer's alternative:

I'm not sure it would work for you directly "out of the box".  IMO, the most important thing in replacing the clutch is to make sure the pulley is in the same location (front-to-back) so that the drive belt basically goes straight down as the original did.  With today’s “single unit” clutches, the position of the “step” on the crankshaft determines the location.  You may need to add a spacer.  A pic of a typical Briggs shaft:

I thought most Kohler single cylinder engines were 1-1/8" shafts, and a Warner #5215-140 fits those.  From the alternate manufacturer:

Thank you for the information. That's very helpful. I did notice my Kohler 12hp front 1" shaft does NOT have the spacer like your briggs engine.

Hello, I measured the PTO shaft again to confirm... yes it is 1.0" O.D

Model: Kohler K301S

It has a rebuilt label on it to reference a separate serial number. See attached.

Hello,

1.) May I ask what the I.D. for the clutch you posted?

It appears some Kohler 12hp come with (1 1/8") O.D. Front PTO Shaft. My Kohler K301S has (1.0") O.D. Front PTO shaft.

2.) What is the price please?

Thank You!

Respectfully,

Dennis

Hello,

I really appreciate your offer. I could go as high as $75 and free shipping. Otherwise I may just buy a new electronic clutch.

Thank You!

Respectfully,

Dennis
