AC720 High capacity tire & rim questions.

I have an AC716. I think the tires are 23x8.5x12. If you want high capacity tires you need to look at 23x10.5x12 or 26x12x12 like are used for tractor pulling. They will fit my tractor, in fact I have a set of the 23x10.5 tires on my 1962 Wards tractor. I cut the wheels and widened them by five inches. You can buy the wheels already wide enough. If I recall the tires run about $150/pair, and the wheels are about $75/pair. Prices may have changed quite a bit since I priced tires and wheels for mine. Rod

Does anyone know the diameter, width, offset, and bolt circle diameter of the high capacity rims for the AC616, AC620, AC720? I am guessing that the rim diameter (to bead seat) is 9 inhces and the width is 4 inches based on the owners manual saying the tire is 6.00 x 9. Does anyone know where to buy rims and tires? Now that I have a loader I need something besides my turf tires/rims. Thanks, Jim

Hi Jim, I just checked our 4040 front tires. We have jacked up the hydraulics a little so it will lift more, so I know the tires will stand up. The tires are Hi-Lander GT's. They are marked 6.9x9 The load rating is 1120 lbs per tire at 60psi. They are very stiff. They have 6 ply treads with 4 ply sidewalls. We purchased them from a local tire shop that specializes in farm equipment. I do not have the dimensions on the offset, they appear to be centered. I would recommend Cedar rapids tire company, or tucker tire. We bought new rear ag tires for our 4040 with rims and tires and tubes from cedar. They will ship directly to you if needed. There is someone called Tucker Tire with an e-bay store that has ag-type tires for $75 for 23X8.5-12 and $109 for the 23X10.5-12 if I recall correctly. Look there for details on the tires.

I misunderstood your question yesterday and responded about rear tires. My AC716 has 16x6.5x8 tires, and 16x7.5x8 are also available. You can get them from Agri Supply.
