This is a question in regaurd to the link between Jacobsen and simplicity. We recently traded in a 10 hp kohler powered Jacobsen. It appears to have a cub cadet rear end. I do not know if Jacobsen was ever involved with simplicity. My question is if they ever used a cub rear end?

To my knowledge, Jacobsen teamed up with Homelite when Homelite broke their ties with Simplicity. This occurred around 1976 at the same time when Simplicity changed the headlight position on their 7000 series tractors. I don't know if Homelite actually bought out Jacobsen at the time or vice versa or not. Sam
