PTO Clutch replacement

Recommended Posts

We have a Allis-Chalmers 314D Serial# 05001369 and are looking for direction in replacing our electric PTO clutch either with a new electric or a manual lever. Our electric clutch quit and I had to spot weld the clutch which keeps the blades engaged all the time and is far from ideal....

I think some of the clutch parts are similar to those on the old JD 300 Series. Would to have someone measure the pulleys to see if they are the same.

Besides my GTH-L shown in the pic, it will also work on my AC built Homelite T-12 with Briggs. Your issue will be shaft diameter so you purchase the correct clutch. The shaft should have a "step" on it for the clutch to ride against.

I have Warner drawings of both clutches so you can check dimensions.  Besides the correct shaft diameter, the other two issues the pulley diameter and where it's positioned relative to the mule pulleys.

If you do a search on electric pto and my screen name, you should find lots of info.
