Simplicity 9020 front tires

After noticing that the front tires on my 9020 rubbed on the mower deck, I discovered that standard "donut" tires and rims as used on common snowmobile trailers are an exact match for what the tractor should have on the front for turf duties. 20.5X8.00-10. The previous skinnier tires are the high-capacity ones for use with a loader, though they are recaps.

I'm also pleased to say that the rebuilt mower deck mows VERY nicely. It leaves a beautiful cut.

Great news.

Enjoy the stripes!

Is it normal for the front PTO belt to be a very tight squeeze to remove between the front PTO drive pulley and the battery hold-down? I have taken to just using a bungie cord to hold the belt in place when I'm not using the mower deck because it is a hassle to remove.
